A special talk session featuring Ian Chang, Master Distiller and Blender of Komoro Distillery, in conversation with Charles MacLean MBE, world-renowned whisky writer and critic, and Caroline Lennon, daughter of the late Dr. Jim Swan. Eddie Ludlow, Chief Educator at Komoro Distillery, will serve as MC.

While tasting KOMORO ORIGIN alongside three spirit samples, Ian will share the philosophy behind whisky making at Komoro Distillery, as well as the thinking and intentions behind each spirit. Drawing on their own experience and perspectives, the guests will offer tasting impressions and insights as they reflect on the journey to the First Release and explore the possibilities that lie ahead for KOMORO.

A one-time session created especially for this occasion — an experience that can only be shared at the birth of KOMORO ORIGIN.

 

 

KOMORO=KANPAI (Komoro Distillery)

A ceremony celebrating the birth of KOMORO ORIGIN.
At its climax, Komoro Distillery will connect with participating venues as guests raise their glasses together to the call of “KOMORO!” and share a simultaneous toast.
It will be a once-in-a-lifetime moment to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter for KOMORO together — a ceremony made possible only by the First Release.

 

 

Reception Dinner

Following the ceremony, guests will be invited to a reception inspired by the evening held at Komoro Distillery in 2024, when it became the first venue in Asia to host the World Whisky Forum.
For this celebration, we will also present dishes and drinks inspired by KOMORO ORIGIN. Executive chefs, culinary teams, and bartenders from hotels whom Komoro Distillery has partnered with since opening will join us for the occasion.
