First Release Special Talk Session 

Our ORIGIN and the Future of KOMORO

 An exclusive talk session led by Ian Chang, Master Distiller & Blender of Komoro Distillery, joined by world-renowned whisky writer and critic Charles MacLean and Caroline Lennon, daughter of the late Dr. Jim Swan, with Eddie Ludlow, Chief Educator at Komoro Distillery, will serve as MC.

Tasting three spirit samples from Komoro Distillery alongside KOMORO ORIGIN, the session will explore how the distillery’s whisky-making philosophy impacts flavour development, maturation, and ultimately the finished whisky. Through each guest’s own tasting impressions and perspectives, the conversation will look beyond the character of KOMORO ORIGIN today to explore the direction of Komoro’s future whiskies, new possibilities in whisky making, and the vision for what lies ahead. 

Celebration Lunch 

Following the talk session, guests will enjoy a special celebration lunch created for the First Release. The menu will feature fresh seafood from the Hokuriku region alongside locally-sourced seasonal ingredients, showcasing the flavours of the region.
Guests will have the opportunity to ask Ian questions, take photos and enjoy relaxed conversation with fellow participants over lunch while continuing to savour the atmosphere of the session. 

Maturation Warehouse Tour 

From Nunobiki Onsen, guests will travel by shuttle bus to Komoro Distillery for a guided tour of the maturation warehouse.
Discover the environment in which KOMORO ORIGIN was matured and experience firsthand the distinctive approach to whisky making at Komoro Distillery. 

Commemorative Gift
