The Making of KOMORO ORIGIN — From Spirit to First Release

Join Ian Chang, Master Distiller & Blender of Komoro Distillery, for a masterclass exploring the journey behind the creation of the distillery’s first single malt whisky, KOMORO ORIGIN. 

Tasting three carefully selected spirit samples alongside KOMORO ORIGIN, Ian will reveal how each contributed to the character and flavour of the final whisky. Discover how the distinctive character of KOMORO ORIGIN was brought to life through a walkthrough of production techniques, decisions, and the blending process. 

 

 

 

Celebration Lunch 

Following the masterclass, guests will enjoy a special celebration lunch created for the First Release, featuring fresh seafood from the Hokuriku region and seasonal local ingredients.
Guests will have the opportunity to ask Ian questions, take photos, and enjoy relaxed conversation with fellow participants over lunch while continuing to savour the experience of the masterclass.

 

 

Maturation Warehouse Tour 

From Nunobiki Onsen, guests will travel by shuttle bus to Komoro Distillery for a guided tour of the maturation warehouse. 

Discover the environment in which KOMORO ORIGIN was matured and experience firsthand Komoro Distillery’s distinctive approach to whisky making. 

 

Commemorative Gift 

A limited-edition gift created to commemorate the First Release will be presented to each guest—a special keepsake to take home as a memento of the occasion. 

 

 

KOMORO ORIGIN 700ml Purchase Option 

This plan includes the right to purchase one 700ml bottle of KOMORO ORIGIN.
The bottle itself is not included in the plan price. Guests who wish to purchase may exercise their purchase right to buy one bottle per person (￥24,200 – Tax Included).
